Instant pot turmeric popcorn? yes its the new winter special recipe in my house.
We all love popcorn and as a mother, I always look for options to add in some healthy ingredients in my toddler food. I decided to make this instant pot turmeric popcorn all weekends for this winter season to stay away from this cold and flu season.
A couple of weeks back I posted a recipe on no butter buttery popcorn and many of you wanted a video on how to make it.when I decided to make a video I want to make something new and different.
I recollected my childhood days in India where this popcorn is served in theaters and no fancy butter or margarine. We just munched it without thinking what goes in.
This is one of the easiest and healthiest popcorn recipe with turmeric and coconut oil for this season.
Instead of taking turmeric as medicines I always look for options on how to incorporate in my daily cooking. Our south Indian cooking is incomplete without a pinch of turmeric.

Instant pot turmeric popcorn vegan is an easy peasy healthy recipe you can’t stop munching.
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- a pinch black pepper powder (optional)

Turn on the instant pot ‘saute’ mode and press ‘more’ option

Once it displays ‘hot’ add coconut oil and wait for a minute

Add popcorn kernel ,turmeric,salt.Wait for one or two of the popcorn kernel to pop

Close it with a clear lid. Wait until most of the corn pops

Turn off the instant pot and take the inner pot out and shake it well
