Maggi noodles are the curry-flavored instant noodles in India. We enjoy having this bowl of noodles when you want to make something for a quick snack or dinner. As many of you know Maggi noodles have been banned for some time since then I started looking for better options to replace Maggi with a better alternative and found this angel hair pasta.
Recently while shopping at the sprouts market I happen to see this angel hair pasta which is as thin as Maggi noodles will look and I wanted to test it and see how it works with the instant pot. To my surprise, the instant pot angel hair noodles recipe turned out fantastic and we all liked it very much.

To make this Instant pot angel hair pasta | instant pot noodles all we need is angel hair pasta, vegetables like carrot, green bell pepper, cauliflower, cabbage, garlic, some curry powder or garam masala powder. Add angel hair pasta in instant pot, water to cover the pasta, salt, oil few drops. Turn on the instant pot to pressure cook, high,3 minutes. Vent -sealed.
Do a quick release and drain the water completely. Wash the cooked angel hair pasta in running cold water(this step will stop the pasta to cook furthermore). Keep it aside.
For the flavor today I’m using green chili and garlic. You can do this step in instant pot saute mode or a wok. I prefer to use wok this gives extra crunchiness to the vegetables. This is one of the healthy instant pot pasta recipes with minimal ingredients at home.
This instant pot angel hair pasta recipe has made me stopped craving Maggi noodles. It’s been more than 3 months we stopped buying Maggi and enjoy this angel hair pasta without any guilt.

Instant pot noodles

- 2 tbsp sesame oil or oil of your choice
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- 2 numbers thai green chili
- 1 number carrot sliced
- 1 cup cauliflower florets
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 number green pepper sliced
- 1/2 pack angel hair pasta 16 OZ pack
- salt to taste
- water to cook pasta
- 1 tsp black pepper powder optional
Add the required amount of angel hair pasta and enough water, salt and few drops of oil to make this instant pot noodles recipe.
Turn on the instant pot to pressure cook mode ,high pressure ,3 minutes and vent to sealing position.
In the meantime take a pan and add some oil,crushed garlic,green chilli and saute for few seconds .
Add the vegetables except cabbage one by one and saute for few seconds. Finally,add cabbage and stir fry all together for a minute and keep it ready.
Now our noodles will be ready. Do a quick release and drain the water completely.
Wash the noodles in the running cold water and add the noodles, salt to the pan and stir fry the angel hair pasta with vegetables. Please make sure the flame is medium to high.

You can do all the processes in the instant pot itself. We like our vegetables to be a little crunchy so I prefer doing the saute process in stovetop.
