Instant pot popcorn is my new family favorite recipe without pinch butter but tastes buttery. All you need to make this instant pot popcorn is some coconut oil, salt, and corn. Don’t forget the instant pot.
We all need some kind snack mostly in the afternoon and that’s the time we end up having some junk food, especially during weekend shopping.
So I make sure I pack something for my toddler too when we head out at the weekends.
I always look for the healthy snack option when I want to feed my kids and one of the habits I want to teach them is to read the ingredients label in the snack they want to have.
Popcorn in the instant pot is one of the easiest recipes you can make with less intervention.

Now let us see how to make the popcorn in instant pot. In this recipe as I already mentioned I use only 3 ingredients coconut oil, corn kernels and some salt.
You can mix and match any spice and flavor as you like. Instead of coconut oil, you can use butter or any oil of your choice.
Coconut oil brings a nice aroma and taste to the popcorn-like butter does. I used 2 spoons of coconut oil for 1/2 of a cup of corn in this recipe.
First turn on the instant pot on ‘Saute’ mode and adjust the pressure to ‘more’ settings. This is a very important step to set the right temperature in order to make most of the corn pops.
Now go ahead and add the coconut oil and wait for 2 minutes.
Next add the corn , salt and mix everything well together.
Please made till you hear the first corn pop. Once you see few corn kernels popping up close the instant pot with a clear lid.
Please do not take off the lid until you see most of the corn kernel pops off.
Now its time to remove the lid and wait for couple of minutes. Mix it well. Transfer it to another bowl and add the flavor of your choice and enjoy it.
How to make popcorn in a pot?
Add oil/butter of your choice in a deep pot and some kernels.
Wait for a minute. Gently toss it. Once the corn kernels start popping.
Close the pot with a clear lid.
Wait for the popping sound to stop before you open the lid.
